Description: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in multiple W3matter products, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.
Input passed to the "f[password]" parameter in index.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation allows an attacker to bypass the login mechanism.
This vulnerability is reported in the following products:
- W3matter AskPert
- W3matter RevSense
Solution: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
