Description:
Hamid Ebadi has discovered a vulnerability in Pi3Web, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error when handling HTTP requests for files placed in the "ISAPI" directory. This can be exploited to hang the server via multiple HTTP requests for invalid DLLs placed in the affected directory (i.e. install.daf, readme.daf, or users.txt).

Successful exploitation requires that Pi3Web is installed as a Desktop application.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 2.0.3 PL2 on Windows. Prior versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Apply PL3.
