Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Faad2, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the "decodeMP4file()" function in frontend/main.c. This can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted MPEG-4 file.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is reported in version 2.6.1. Other versions may also be affected.

Apply vendor patch.
