|
|
Description: Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Stash, which can be exploited by malicious people and users to conduct SQL injection attacks.
1) Input passed in the "username" parameter through admin/login.php to admin/library/authenticate.php and to the "download" parameter in downloadmp3.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows e.g. logging in as administrator without valid administrator credentials, but requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.
2) Input passed to the "post" parameter in admin/news.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows e.g. retrieval of administrator usernames, password hashes, real names, and e-mail addresses, but requires valid user credentials (but see #1) and knowledge of the database table prefix.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.0.3. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Use another product as Stash is unsupported.
Provided and/or discovered by: 1) IRCRASH
2) Gnix
